At Hand
Whispers of a world away,
Nearly at my door,
Lift the sash to see
Mysteries never seen before.

Present takes my breath away,
Past is to the lee,
Look in books of lore,
Giddy, thinking what might be.

Etchings on an ancient page
Fit my window's view,
Strange although it seems,
Only myths are really true.

I don't want to turn this page,
Must we wake from dreams,
Might the next undo
The sacred Kingdom seems?
