The Siren's Rocks
While standing in the checkout line
I saw a wondrous sight:
On my left, a mermaid school,
Ambrosia on my right.

Such food wasn't meant for mortals

So I turned to see
,
As mythic beauties beckoned
From across a camera sea.

They jostle one another
Striking poses to allure;
Shoppers shipwreck on these rocks,
Where death comes slow but sure.

Singing you a promise
To fulfill your every wish,
Although,
if it comes down to that,
She's colder than a fish.
